2026 Hunting Season and Horseback Trips

Sawbuck Outfitters, LLC

offers fully outfitted drop camps. Camps consists of wall tents, cots w/ pads, wood stove, and fully outfitted kitchen. Near Crested Butte, Colorado in the West Elk and Ragged Wilderness units 53 and 521. See below for services and fees.

$2400 pp

Price includes horseback ride in/out, 8 day hunt at fully outfitted camp, and packing out of 1 harvested animal.

Muzzleloader

$2800 pp

Price includes horseback ride in/out, 8 day hunt at fully outfitted camp, and packing out of 1 harvested animal.

Rifle

$2800 pp

Price includes horseback ride in/out, 7 day hunt at fully outfitted camp, and packing out of 1 harvested animal.

What should I wear for a trail ride?

We recommend wearing long pants and closed-toe shoes with a small heel. It is also a good idea to bring sunscreen and a hat.

Is there a weight limit?

Yes, we can only take a weight limit of up to 260 pounds.
